New Climate Tech Investment Funds

Here’s a look at new funds driving progress in ocean solutions, space innovation, and sustainable food systems:

 

  • Canada-based Okanagan Women Angel Funds (OKGN WMAN) has closed its third fund with 31 women investors and made its first investment in Alt Pro Advantage, a Canadian women-led company offering sustainable, nutrient-rich pet food without livestock or fish ingredients.
  • Nigeria-based First Asset Management, a subsidiary of First HoldCo Plc, has launched a N100 billion Infrastructure Fund to bridge Nigeria’s infrastructure financing gap and drive sustainable development across key sectors.
  • Denmark-based Heartcore Capital closed $180M fund V focused on synthetic biology, AI, Climate Tech, travel tech, and infrastructure.
  • Paris-based Swen Capital Partners announced the €160 million first close of SWEN Blue Ocean fund 2 backing solutions focused on overfishing, pollution and climate change.
  • Lithuania-based Iron Wolf Capital announced €100M early-stage Baltic deep tech & AI fund for startups focused on AI, robotics, photonics, and space innovation.
  • Helsinki-based Nordic Food-tech VC launched Fund II starting at €40M with a target of €80M, for startups building a food system that fits within planetary boundaries.

Top Climate Tech Funding Rounds

From fusion systems to sustainable aviation fuel, these were the most significant funding rounds from last two weeks:

 

  • ⚛️US, Foothill Ranch-based TAE Technologies, Inc, raised $150M in a growth equity round to develop fusion systems providing on-demand, carbon-free, utility-scale power that is also inherently safe.
  • 🌬️Latvia, Riga-based Aerones closed a $62M early VC round to scale its AI-enabled maintenance for wind turbines across 30+ countries.
  • 🌳UK, London-based Treefera closed a $30M Series B round to drive go-to-market acceleration and deepen its first-mile insights, risk, and compliance capabilities.
  • 🔋Australia, Melbourne-based Amber Electric secured $29.7M in a late VC round to expand its battery and electric vehicle automation technology globally, focusing on European markets.
  • 🚘US, Provo-based Hypercraft® secured $26M in a Series A round to further develop hybrid systems, intelligent powertrain controls, and software-defined vehicle solutions.
  • ✈️Netherlands, Amsterdam-based SkyNRG secured $272M in growth equity to accelerate the development of SAF production facilities in the Netherlands, Sweden, and the U.S.
  • 🔌US, Scotts Valley-based Heron Power raised $38M in a Series A round to complete engineering of the Heron Link, a solid-state transformer solution displacing legacy transformers and power converters.
  • 🧯Sweden, Göteborg-based Plagazi received a $32M grant for their flagship project ‘Gävle Circular Park’, which transforms non-recyclable waste into circular hydrogen.
  • 🥩Finland, Helsinki-based Volare Solutions raised $28M to scale up their zero-waste, fossil-free process, turning food industry byproducts into high-value protein, oil, and fertilizer.
  • ⚡Spain, Paterna-based HESStec (Hybrid Energy Storage Solutions Ltd) raised $13.6M in an early VC round to expand into European and wider markets by targeting grid companies, renewable energy sites, and big commercial and industrial (C&I) clients.
