New Climate Tech Investment Funds

Here’s a look at new funds driving progress in industry, battery storage, and resilience across property:

 

  • Amsterdam-based Carbon Equity launched a new Access to Climate Tech Fund II  that channels capital into climate-focused projects via private equity, infrastructure, and venture capital funds.
  • Tokyo-based Mpower Partners launched its second fund, a global venture capital fund that backs growth state startups in Japan and overseas. The firm will also utilize its proprietary ESG framework to support the long-term, sustainable growth of its portfolio companies.
  • Frankfurt-based Re:cap global investors and FP Investment Partners are launching FP Lux NRW Energy Transition Fund that invests in photovoltaics, wind power, battery storage and charging infrastructure.
  • San Francisco-based Munich Re Ventures launched a new $125M fund from HSB to invest in Built World startups focused on performance, risk reduction, and resilience across property, industry, supply chains, and cybersecurity.
  • London-based Octopus Energy launched £165M clean energy fund that offers pension schemes and private wealth investors an easy and flexible route into the global energy transition

Top Climate Tech Funding Rounds

From underwater robotic systems to green data centers, these were the most significant funding rounds from last two weeks:

 

🤖 Hong Kong-based Neptune Robotics raised $50M in a growth equity round to develop AI-powered autonomous underwater robotic systems designed for biofouling management in the maritime industry.

⚡ Germany, Berlin-based trawa closed a $27M Series A round to support the expansion of its integrated B2B solution for energy supply, energy management, and flexibility control.

🛠️ Germany, Munich-based remberg secured $17M in a Series A+ round to develop AI-powered maintenance software to prevent and resolve unplanned downtime.

🚗 US, Troy-based Slate Auto raised $700M in a combination of Series A and B rounds to manufacture electric vehicles for personal transportation.

🚌 UK, Ballymena-based Wrightbus received $199.5M in debt financing to fuel global expansion and low-emission bus rollout.

🧠 Israel, Tel Aviv-based Classiq closed a $110M Series C round to expand operations and provide a quantum development platform.

💡 US, Sunnyvale-based Avicena Tech raised $65M in a Series B round for providing ultra-low power optical interconnects in AI datacenters.

🌊 US, Alameda-based Saildrone raised $60M in a late VC round to offer its maritime intelligence technology to European security and defense needs.

🚛 US, Encinitas-based Flock Freight raised $60M in a Series E round to scale its AI-powered Shared Truckload platform, optimize freight pooling across its network, and further reduce carbon emissions in the logistics sector.

⚛️ US, Madison-based Realta Fusion closed a $36M round to advance the physics of their experimental magnetic mirror fusion device.
