- Chicago-based 11 Tribe Ventures closed an oversubscribed Fund II after raising $46.4M for early stage companies.
- First Momentum Ventures closed an oversubscribed €35M Fund II focused on robotics, industrial AI, and novel materials.
- Copenhagen-based Kompas VC announced the €150M closing of its second fund, focused on manufacturing industry and built environment.
- Milano-based P101 closed the Programma 103 fund at €250M to drive digital innovation.
- Sunflower capital announced $250M fund that partners with early stage companies building foundations for modern enterprises, and critical industries.
- Venice-based CIV raised an inaugural fund of $200M to invest in startups tackling projects like nuclear energy and manufacturing.
- Seattle-based Stepchange announced closing of its fund I, raising $7M to invest in climate-focused startups.
- San Francisco-based Founders fund raised nearly $4.6B for its late-stage venture fund focused on fields as biotech, defensetech, aerospace, transportation, internet and energy, among others.
Top Climate Tech Funding Rounds
From sustainable aerospace solutions to electric vehicles, these were the most significant funding rounds from last two weeks:
- ✈️US, Manassas-based Electra.aero raised $115M in a Series B round to enter the pre-production phase of the EL9, its Ultra Short aircraft, which can take off and land in 150 feet.
- 🌞US, Miami-based Exowatt secured $70M in a Series A round to scale and deploy the Exowatt P3, which is a modular, dispatchable solar solution capable of delivering up to 24 hours of power daily.
- 🚛Canada, North Vancouver-based 7Gen secured $34.5M in debt financing to finance as many as 500 electric vans, buses, and trucks, including charging infrastructure, and refinance some of its current fleet.
- 🏗️New Zealand, Auckland-based Lodestone Energy raised $29.9M in a late VC round for the construction of utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) parks.
- 🧪US, Los Álamos-based UbiQD, Inc. raised $20M in a Series B round to scale quantum dot technology across industries.
- ⚡US, Menlo Park-based Mainspring Energy raised $258M in a Series F round to expand the company’s linear generator power business and operations.
- 🔋US, Burlingame-based Caban secured $50M in a growth equity round from Ember to provide alternative energy solutions for critical infrastructure.
- 🚆US, Los Angeles-based Parallel Systems closed a $38M Series B round to build battery-powered autonomous freight technology that works with existing freight cars and integrates with existing train control software.
- 🔋Norway, Oslo-based Vianode secured $37.5M in debt to strengthen its R&D capabilities and platform for establishing regional low-emission EV and battery value chains.
- ⚡UK, Cambridge-based Nyobolt, closed a $30M Series C round to develop fast-charge systems that are deployed in AI warehouses and heavy-duty vehicles.
