  • US-based Breakwall Capital closed the first round of its Breakwall Energy Credit Partners Fund at $125M to provide senior secured direct lending across energy infrastructure, infrastructure services, and energy transition sectors.
  • Switzerland-based Emerald closed the €60M first round of its Global Water Fund II to back technologies enhancing water resilience and addressing critical global water challenges.
  • Brussels-based Endgame Capital closed an €8M first round of its Fund I to back near-market climate technologies that deliver cost-competitive, fast-to-deploy solutions with multi-megaton CO₂e reduction potential.
  • Netherlands-based Rubio Impact Ventures secured over €70M in pledges for its third fund to invest in impact-driven companies tackling climate change and social inequality across sectors like energy, nutrition, education, and mental health.
  • Netherlands-based Forbion closed its Forbion BioEconomy Fund I at an oversubscribed €200M hard cap to back biotech-driven innovations across food, agriculture, materials, and environmental technologies that deliver scalable, cost-competitive, and high-impact sustainability solutions.
  • Africa-focused Novastar Ventures secured a $40M anchor commitment from the Green Climate Fund for its $200M Africa People & Planet Fund III to invest in climate-resilience, clean tech, and natural-resource solutions across Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, and Egypt.

The past two weeks saw major funding flow into robotics, aquaculture, alternative proteins, and many more.

 

  • 🛩️Austin, TX-based Infravision closed a $91M Series B round from GIC, Activate Capital, Hitachi Ventures, and others to accelerate the global deployment of its aerial robotics system for faster, safer, and more cost-effective power infrastructure.
  • 🚴Paris, France-based Upway closed a $60M Series C round from A.P. Moller Holding, Galvanize, Ora Global, and others to scale its platform for professionally refurbished e-bikes by expanding its industrial and digital capabilities and rolling out new services
  • 🧬San Francisco, CA-based The EVERY Company closed a $55M Series D round from McWin Capital Partners (through the McWin Food Tech Fund), Main Sequence, Bloom8, and others to expand manufacturing capacity and scale its precision-fermentation platform for producing highly functional egg proteins for the $270B egg market.
  • ⚛️Sweden, Stockholm-based Blykalla closed a $38M round from Oklo and others to fuel its mini-reactor ambitions and advance its small nuclear reactor technology.
  • 🐟Iceland, Kópavogur-based First Water closed a $27M round from three Icelandic pension funds and other new and existing shareholders to advance its sustainable land-based salmon farming operations.
  • 🏢Koeln-based empact GmbH raised $116M in a Series A round from Sustainable Development Capital, LLP (SDCL) LLP, the Strüngmann family office, Dietmar Hopp’s family office, and others to scale its green energy concepts for buildings and districts.
  • 🚤California-based Saildrone raised $50M from Lockheed Martin in a strategic investment to integrate lethal defense systems onto its unmanned surface vessels.
  • 🌤️Israel-based Stardust Solutions raised $60M in an early VC round from Lowercarbon Capital and a coalition of investors to advance research and testing of its sun-reflecting atmospheric technology aimed at mitigating global temperature rise.
  • 🛵São Paulo–based Vammo closed a $45M in a Series B round from Ecosystem Integrity Fund, 2150, Qualcomm Ventures, and others to scale its electric motorcycles and expand its battery-swapping infrastructure.
  • ✈️Hampshire-based i6 Group raised $20M in a Series B round from Yttrium, World Kinect, Shell Ventures, and others to scale its cloud-based digital fuel management platform for airports and airlines.
