Net Zero Insights partners with NOVA University to promote social and environmental innovations

Net Zero Insights will be present in the next edition of Nova Impact! Challenges as part of the resources given to participants to develop their innovation projects.

The partnership with Nova University Lisbon will support students by giving them access to the largest European startup database of climate tech, helping them to find the organisations that are currently working on their area of research.

Nova Impact! Challenges will kick off on the 24th of June 2022, and it’s open to the entire Portugal academic community of higher education institutions. The competition celebrates innovation and entrepreneurship by awarding the top 10 impactful solutions that can solve social and environmental challenges of today’s world.

Encouraging climate innovation projects and social entrepreneurship

eco technology challengesNOVA University of Lisbon and Santander Universities are working together to promote the entrepreneurial culture across students, encouraging them to develop impactful solutions that direct innovation and knowledge to the service of the community.

Projects must address at least one of the United Nations’ sustainable development goals.

Each of the participants teams will have access to technologies such as the Net0i Platform, the support of a group of experts and mentors to accelerate their innovations and develop a virtual mode prototype of their projects.

At the end of the event, the teams will have the opportunity to pitch their innovation project at the Nova reiterate building to a jury and win prizes.

How to participate in the NOVA Impact challenge competition?

All teams must be formed by groups of 2 to 5 participants, and project proposals can be submitted till June 15th, 2022 for evaluation. Solutions can be proposed as physical devices, apps, websites, business plans or others.

Week by week, participants will have access to online workshops and assigned mentors that will guide them throughout the competition. By the end of the program, teams will be requested to pitch their projects for the winner selection.
